Welcome to Got game?, the videogame characters layout marathon started at The Fanlistings Network message boards :)

In case you need an explanation of the concept itself, the basic premise of a layout marathon is to create a layout according to the marathon's theme (game characters, in this case) and keep it up until the marathon ends - usually a month after the deadline.

In this case, the deadline is July 20th, 2005. You will not be able to join after that day, but you still can do it now, so what are you waiting for? Read the guidelines below, choose a character and join us! :D

Rules/Guidelines

1. To take part in this marathon your site must be a collective, blog or personal site of any kind. Domains and subdomains are both fine - but I'd prefer no sites hosted at free servers such as geocities or angelfire.
2. Choose one character (ONE character - character groups could be considered depending on the case, just ask and we'll see) from any released, or even soon-to-be-released, videogame, from any game platform (PC, Playstation, Gamecube, Gameboy...)
3. There can be up to THREE characters per any given game. First come, first serve, so think fast and choose quickly before anyone else takes that character you love so much ;)
4. If you have a blog *and* a collective and you'd like to join the marathon with both sites, feel free to do so - just choose two different characters, one for each site, and that's all. This is limited to one character per site, not per person :)
5. Skinning is also more than welcome, just in case you've taken part in any other lay marathon recently and you still don't want to take that layout down. However, I'd ask you to set up the videogame character layout as the default skin if possible. If you don't know how to do it or you can't, it doesn't matter as long as you have it up :)
6. For the button rotation, you have to make a 100x35 button featuring your character. The button must include the name of the character as well, and you should be able to host it on a direct linking capable server.
7. Please include a link somewhere in your site to http://game.howlingmoon.net
8. The deadline is July 20th and the layouts will have to be up until August 20th.
